    Citation Excerpt :

Currently, an attempt to treat oral squamous cell carcinoma (OSCC) is generally preceded by initial staging of the cancer by TNM, which is reported to be insufficient for disease prognosis [8]. Further complications arise as patients often suffer from distortion in speech, swallowing and also deteriorated dental health [9,10]. Thus, utmost care needs to be taken in identification and monitoring of these malignant lesions so that the possible aftermath of the treatment can be minimized.
