PP2Acα positively regulates the termination of liver regeneration in mice through the AKT/GSK3β/Cyclin D1 pathway
2016, Journal of HepatologyCitation Excerpt :The mRNA levels of cyclin D1 in PP2Acα−/− mice were similar to those in control mice for the first 5 days post-PH, but subsequently, they were significantly lower than those in control mice (Fig. 5B). PCNA expression is cell cycle dependent and is commonly used as a simple, accurate and reproducible marker of LR [16]. Consistent with the induced hepatocyte proliferation, PCNA levels sharply increased on day 2 after PH and then declined on day 4 in control mice.
Maternal separation on the ethanol-preferring adult rat liver structure
2015, Annals of HepatologySignificance of alterations in the metabolomics of sulfur-containing amino acids during liver regeneration
2013, BiochimieCitation Excerpt :Cyclin D1 is one of the key cell-cycle regulatory proteins required for transition from the G1 into the S phase. PCNA is an auxiliary protein of DNA polymerase delta, of which expression is detected from the late G1 phase, maximal in the S phase, through the early postreplicative G2 phase [28]. Protein expressions of cyclin D1 and PCNA were negligible in normal rat livers under the conditions used (data not shown).
