2021, International ImmunopharmacologyCitation Excerpt :It has been reported that IFN- γ secretion may support to elicit the expression of programmed death-ligand 1 (PD-L1) in the tumor and thus induces adaptive immune resistance [94]. The other studies reported that IL-4 effectively suppresses tumor growth via a strong inflammatory effect associated with local recruitment of granulocytes, macrophages, T-lymphocytes, and dendritic cells [95–98]. Likewise, to produce an effective antitumor immune response in vaccine therapy may be achieved by IL-10 blockade.
