Expression of EGFR and Cerb-B2 as prognostic factors in cancer of the tongue
2004, Oral OncologyExpression of a truncated epidermal growth factor receptor in oral squamous cell carcinomas
2000, Cancer LettersCitation Excerpt :EGFR similarly plays important roles in the control of cell growth and differentiation [1–4,6]. Furthermore, overexpression of EGFR has been associated with tumor progression and correlates with a poor prognosis for oral cancer patients [8,13–15]. In this light, it is interesting to note that the expression level of tEGFR decreases with advanced T staging and cervical lymph node metastasis of the oral cancers.
