Abstract
We report the first case of 10-year disease-free survival in a patient with small cell lung cancer (SCLC) with brain metastasis. A 63-year-old man was found to have SCLC with brain metastasis and underwent chemoradiotherapy. Radiation therapy was delivered to the brain, lungs, mediastinum and supraclavicular fossa. Chemotherapy regimen mainly consisted of etoposide-plus-cisplatin. The patient has remained alive for more than 10 years after the diagnosis of SCLC with brain metastasis with no relapses.
